Jonathan is Assistant Professor of Education Policy and Psychology and 21st Century Chair in Education Policy at the University of Arkansas in the Department of Education Reform, and also holds a joint (courtesy) appointment in the Department of Psychology. He earned his PhD in 2009 at Vanderbilt University working on the Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth. He was a Von Brock Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University and worked as a Research Scientist in the Talent Identification Program and as a Visiting Scholar at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Psychology. Prior to his current position, he was a Research Fellow at Geisinger. Broadly, he studies education policy through the lens of psychology. Please visit Jonathan’s personal website here.
