Simon Jackson

Biosketch: Simon completed his Bachelor of Science, Psychology (Honours class 1) at the University of Sydney, Australia. He is currently completing his PhD on individual differences in decision making, investigating the role of cognitive abilities and metacognitive confidence. In particular, Simon’s aim is to understand how psychological processes are translated into competent and incompetent choice behaviour. This is being done under the primary supervision of Dr Sabina Kleitman (University of Sydney), and the co-supervision of Professor Lazar Stankov, A/Professor Pauline Howie, and Dr Bruce Burns. In addition to his PhD research, Simon’s methodological approach to decision making has been adapted to medical and military contexts for applied purposes.
