ISIR 2024: Zürich, Switzerland
We are pleased to officially announce the 24th annual ISIR conference, which will be held in beautiful Zürich, Switzerland! The conference will be held from July 29–31, 2024 at ETH Zürich and will be hosted by Prof. Dr. Elsbeth Stern. As always, we will have a special IMC welcome event the evening before the conference begins on July 28.
While many details concerning accommodations, registration, and abstract submission are still in the works, we already have an exciting lineup of invited speakers, keynotes and award-winners.
Camilla Benbow is our 2024 Distinguished Interviewee, Matt McGue our 2024 Lifetime Achievement Awardee, and our 2023 Lifetime Achievement Awardee, Wendy Johnson, will be accepting her award and speaking in Zürich as well. Confirmed keynotes include Sophie von Stumm, Rich Haier, Franzis Preckel, and Klaus Oberauer, with more to come.
Our IMC welcome evening is shaping up to be just as exciting. Our special guest speakers for the event include Stephen Ceci, Wendy Williams, and Brooke Macnamara. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy this fantastic lineup on July 28th!
All graduate students and postdocs with an accepted oral or poster presentation for ISIR automatically qualify for $1,500 in travel support (for traveling from outside of Europe) or $1,000 of travel support (for those traveling from within Europe) from the Institute of Mental Chronometry. In addition, for these students & postdocs, if they would like to attend IMC’s Welcoming Reception the day before ISIR, an additional $200 of support will be added to each of these amounts. These travel awards are also sponsored by IMC, and the Welcoming Reception is in part to honor the graduate students and postdocs who have been awarded travel grants. This is an excellent venue for students to meet each other as well as leaders in the field, so don’t miss out.
Abstract submission will open soon, and further details will be announced as they become confirmed. See you in Zürich!
